An Enchanting Evening in the Tower of Tailors
The recent Sartorial Club NYC Winter Soirée was held at the beautiful Cad & The Dandy penthouse in Midtown Manhattan. The location has become known as the Tower of Tailors, due to the number of bespoke tailors that have made 130 West 57th Street their home.
The evening felt like stepping into a scene from a classic film, perfectly combining elegance, lively conversation, and shared appreciation for timeless style, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who attended. Gentlemen donned their best black-tie attire—tuxedos that spoke of expert tailoring and personal flair—while the ladies added their own charm to the night, also embracing the formal dress code. The penthouse created an inviting atmosphere that was both warm and refined—a perfect backdrop for the evening.
A Partnership Redefining New York Refinement
The Sartorial Club, a rapidly growing platform celebrating timeless excellence in every form, has partnered with Cad and the Dandy, the esteemed British tailoring house, to bring a refined experience to New York City. This collaboration combines The Sartorial Club’s expertise in fostering a passionate community of sartorial enthusiasts with Cad and the Dandy’s reputation for crafting high-quality, hand-tailored suits. Together, they are bringing a new level of refinement to New York City. By blending modern sensibilities with the traditions of Savile Row, Cad & The Dandy offers a uniquely personal experience through bespoke consultations, exclusive events, and masterful tailoring. This partnership solidifies NYC’s status as one of the global hubs for discerning gentleman's fashion.
Raising a Glass with The Glenrothes
The night began with a tasting of The Glenrothes 18-year-old whisky, a rich and nuanced spirit that set the tone for the celebration. For those craving a classic cocktail, expertly crafted Old Fashioneds were also on offer, adding a touch of nostalgia to the festivities. The Glenrothes is a distinguished Scotch whisky brand celebrated for its exceptional single malt offerings, crafted in the heart of Speyside, Scotland. Known for its rich and complex flavor profiles, The Glenrothes emphasizes a commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Each whisky is matured in sherry-seasoned oak casks, creating a harmonious balance of sweetness, spice, and fruitiness. Distinctively, The Glenrothes focuses on vintages rather than traditional age statements, offering a unique glimpse into the character and story of each distillation year.
A Night of Friendly Rivalry
One of the highlights was a friendly yet spirited quiz competition on tailored clothing, New York City, and other relevant topics, which sparked good-natured banter and camaraderie. The prizes were impressive - I got to win the Grand Prize: a Bespoke shirt from Cad & the Dandy - but the true reward was the energy and connection among participants. Following this, guests were treated to a delicious dinner at nearby Acadia restaurant, which felt like an extension of the evening’s thoughtful curation. Conversations flowed easily, as did the laughter, as we bonded over shared interests and stories.
A Grand Finale at the Carnegie Club
As the night wound down, we made our way to nearby Carnegie Club, where the rich aroma of cigars paired perfectly with more Old Fashioned cocktails and even deeper conversation. This final stop felt like the perfect conclusion to a night where friendships were strengthened and new memories made.
The Perfect Evening, and the Best is Yet to Come
What made the Winter Soirée truly special was the genuine sense of connection among attendees. Beyond the impeccable style and fine drinks, it was a celebration of community—a reminder that elegance is best enjoyed in great company.
I’m already looking forward to the next gathering, knowing it will be just as unforgettable—this time in the enchanting city of Florence! Here’s to more extraordinary moments, meaningful connections, and memories that last a lifetime.
