Road to Pitti Uomo #105: Intro
Any menswear enthusiast has heard of Pitti Uomo one way one another. After all, it is the biggest menswear tradeshow in the world, occurring twice a year in Florence. While the fair exists for brands to make wholesale and B2B business, it is also famous for the vast number of men posing in the Fortezza (sometimes affectionately called “Pitti peacocks”). Beyond what might appear as vanity, there is something more : an unparalleled occasion to meet other enthusiasts,people behind the brands, Sartorial Club members and make life-long friendships.
In this series of articles, I will share an inside view on Pitti Uomo 105 : the Sartorial Club Masquerade ball, private member dinner, the fair, evening events and field trip. Sumptuous venues, amazing people and unrivaled craftsmanship are to be expected. Having gone to the Pitti before, I believe some preparation is in order to get the most out of it.
